DIVING
IN TURKEY
Diving conditions in
Turkey are excellent throughout the diving season -April to
November- and clear blue waters with viz. Of up to 30 meter is
the norm. The underwater landscape is varied with reefs,
walls, drop-offs and caverns. Marine life may not be as
profuse as that found in tropical seas but on most dives one
will encounter a range of species of fish including groupers,
moray, stingrays, and bream. The observant diver will spot
different types of nudipranch grazing on marine plants and a
variety of other molluscs - some like the octopus not as tiny
but master of camouflage. The area is rich in underwater
historical artifacts. Coming across a pile of broken amphora
or ancient pottery underwater is always an exhilarating
experience - a close encounter with the history of these
shores. But if you would like to see an archaeological
shipwreck, then a visit to the Bodrum Castle which houses the
maritime archaeology museum is advised.
Most importantly;
Wreck diving is most popular program in Turkey in recent
years. World famous water straight so called; " the
Dardanelles" is the richest area for wreck diving. The
area offers diving facilities for 216 wrecks which belong to
the allied countries from the fist world war. And some of the
landing boats and battleships are laying very close to the
shore in depth of 20 - 30 meters up to 70 meters. Our regular
program for wreck diving as follows.

PARAGLIDING
IN TURKEY

"Flying....One
of the oldest dreams of human!
Paragliding activity will be combined with any proposed and
suitable itinerary.
Therefore please, contact for the details on prices of both
individuals and groups.
In the early 80's the first step was made off a hill with a
ram-air type skydiving parachute in the Alps. It was the first
time that the idea of foot-launching a chute from hills was
made real. In a few years time the designers set to make
things easier as it was hard to inflate a skydiving chute on
the ground and it needed a steeper inclination to make it fly.
Consequently the purpose was somewhat different; to glide
further and to stay longer in the air. Paragliding is as easy
as walking. By the first step you take you will enter a realm
where the dreams come true. You will see that nothing ever
came up to your imagination was this like simple and real. We
organize paragliding in two different locations only:
Fethiye (babadag) is acknowledge as one of the best 3
paragliding spots in whole world by the authorities.
Taurus Mountains / Antalya where legendary of Pegasus; Highest
platforms of the area with most spectacular landscape.

RAFTING
IN TURKEY

Turkey is one of the
best countries for Rafting in Europe. There are two
availabilities for this exciting hobby; professional and
amateur. We provide services for both purposes.
For pleasure & excitement: Rafting in Antalya (Koprulu
Canyon)
Program: Every day between May 1st - October 31st.

09:00 Pick-up from hotel by a/c bus.
10:00 Arrival in Beskonak valley for orientation and receiving
the equipment.
11:00 Depart to the star point and a short break. Walking over
the ancient Roman Bridge. Admiring the incredible view of
Canyon and briefing on rafting Tour.
12:00 Rowing against to current in to the canyon and lunch
break.
13:00 Start rafting tour.
14:00 Arriving at lake point and swimming break.
15:00 Start for the hardest stage of rafting route.
16:00 Arriving at finish and prepare for return.
17:00 Depart for hotel.
We invite you to join one of our expeditions to raft the Coruh
River, a world class white-water river. For adrenalin addicts,
the highest water levels are in May and June; July still
offers many thrills. Fed by snow-melt from the eastern Black
Sea Mountains in north-east Turkey, the Coruh flows through
spectacular canyons and narrow, fertile valleys of orchards
and tiny paddy fields, past ancient ruined castles, all set
against a backdrop of magnificent rugged mountains.

Day 1: Arrive Erzurum airport on midday flight. Lunch in
Erzurum. Transfer by minibus to Yedigöze, 10 km downstream
from Ispir. Chance to explore the town in late afternoon /
evening.
Day 2: Training Day. Rafting grade 3 including 'White Horses'.
Camp in orchard at Camlykaya.
Day 3: Rafting grade 5. As for day 4 above. Camp at Tekkale.
Day 4: Rafting grade 5- morning rafting in the Yusufeli Gorge
where we tackle the most excited rapids of the tour, including
"King kong". Huge boulders the size of houses force
the water into steep chutes and churning holes that seem
bigger than the raft.. Transfer to Erzurum for afternoon
internal flight.

TREKKING
IN TURKEY

Adventure in Ancient
Lycian Region (9 Days & 8 Nights)
Adventure in an astonishing historical atmosphere of Lykia, an
ancient civilization which existed in Southwest Anatolia. A
vacation in a region with antique nature and historical value.
The program includes a week long, well planned activities of
four different kinds. Anyone who enjoys outdoor activities to
stay fit can join us with no special training activities. Each
route has different attractions. While enjoying different
means of moving through nature, you will have a chance to
observe natural formations and habitat besides the local life
style, culture and the ancient Lykian ruins. Our transfers,
specially the boat trips are even activities to enjoy.
Tour Program:
DAY 1- IZMIR
Arrival to Izmir airport, transfer to Kusadasi hotel. Cocktail
meeting in the evening. Overnight stay in Kusadasiy.
DAY 2- EPHESUS / PRIENE / MILETUS
Departure for Ephesus tour. Visit Ephesus ancient city.
Continue to Priene ruins that was one of the first sample of
city planing. Visit Miletus ancient city, the city of Thales.
Overnight stay in Didim.
DAY 3- BAFA LAKE / HERAKLIA
Departure from hotel and transfer to trekking location.
Trekking through Bafa Lake and Heraklia ancient ruins. On this
route, will have chance to observe some interesting natural
formations and the typical Turkish Village. At the end of the
day a pleasant surprise will be awaiting us en-route. A
special trout menu at an original restaurant next to cold
groundwater springs. Continue to Koycegiz and overnight stay.
DAY 4- REST DAY
Take a boat trip to Dalyan where the Caretta Caretta sea
Turtles breed. Enjoy relaxing beach & swimming. Overnight
stay in Koycegiz.
DAY 5- TREKKING / MUD BATH
Departure and Transfer to the Ulemez mountain which is the
start point of trekking. There will be many choices to enjoy
and take photographs of the beautiful scenery of scenery of
Koycegiz Lake and Dalyan estuary While trekking down the
mountain and at our lunch location. In the afternoon the tour
will end at an ancient Lycian harbour where our boat will be
awaiting. A short boat trip through the reeds of Caunos
ancient city. Then proceed to world famous mud bath. Return to
hotel and overnight stay in Dalyan.
DAY 6- PARAGLIDING
Transfer to Fethiye Babadag for unusual experience in the one
of the best paragliding spots of the world. Late afternoon
return to Fethiye and check into hotel. Overnight stay in
Fethiye.
DAY 7- TREKKING
Departure for Saklikent canyon. Trekking through the river.
Picnic lunch. Continue to Kayakoy (Ghost Town) for trekking
and Korkmaztepe where you will admire the best view of
Oludeniz beach. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in
Fethiye.
DAY 8- PAMUKKALE
Early departure for Pamukkale. Visit world famous calcium
deposited pools "travertine's" and Hierapolis
ancient ruins. Continue to Kusadasi. Overnight stay in
Kusadasi.
DAY 9- FLY BACK HOME
Transfer to airport and the end of our services.

HUNTING
IN TURKEY
|
Turkey; today is one of
the richest countries of the world in the means of fauna. A
large portion of Turkish fauna occupied by wild boars. Unlike
the other species wild the other species wild boars breed
twice a year which multiplies the number year after year.
According the Islamic order; Consuming the meat of wild Boar
is strictly prohibited and that helps the species to be well
protected and causes rapid increase of the population.
Each year many farmers suffer a lot from wild boars causing
damages on the crops of the fields. The state has agreed to
protect both wildlife and farmers rights and therefore in the
certain regions of the country wild boar hunting season is
kept open frequently almost all year around as well as fox
hunting in the same areas.
To experience wild boar and foe hunting in Turkish way; Ekol
travel organizes hunting programs and the services with local
hunters and chasers.
The program are run all year around for minimum 4 hunters.
Equipment and gun are provided by Ekol travel on request.

BALLOONING
IN TURKEY
|
We organize balloon
tours in Cappadocia area everyday by sunrise between April -
October both for individuals and groups regardless the number
of passengers (10 pax maximum for each balloon).
The program:
We arrange the wake-up call for the passengers at the hotel
and transfer them to the take off site by ground-support
vehicles. We have over 30 different take off pots which are
used depending on the direction of the wind. As once the
airborne the balloon will travel free with the wind.
Preparation of take off process takes about 20 minutes, during
which time the passengers are welcome to help or takes photos,
at the same time they receive technical information and safety
instructions for the flight. The flight lasts between 1 and 1
˝ hours.
We do fly both low contour and high enough to view the whole
landscape from above. After this spectacular experience we
have a little champagne celebration on the ground.
- The temperature during the flight will be almost the same as
the ground level. No age limits for this experience as the
flight is very smooth and relaxing. All passengers are fully
insured during the flight. |
